Baking with the Babe: My Perfect {Mother’s} Day

Like most moms, I am always looking for new fun and engaging ways to spend long afternoons and early mornings with the babe. I’ve found our best moments involve tinkering and toying around in the kitchen, be it while getting ready for dinner or whipping up something sweet for dessert. We find “strange” cooking utensils, like salad spinners, colored colanders, and ice cream scoops and play with ingredients that can be taste tested and touched by a toddler. Made from scratch treats fill up these late Saturday afternoons when that nap just doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen and make early mornings fly by in ways that crafts or building blocks just can’t seem to do.

So with Mother’s Day coming this weekend, I thought I’d share some easy ways to to spend those special, sometimes never ending, weekend early morning and afternoons. Here are just a couple of my favorite Harry approved, easy to make sweet dishes for creating little memories with big taste. Happy Mother’s Day, Mamas!
