VALENTINE’S DAY STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE HEART POPS

  • pie crust dough (1 sheet, usually half a package)
  • heart-shaped cookie cutter
  • about 1/2 cup Jam Lab Strawberry Chocolate Jam *Link to buy in recipe
  • 1 egg + 1 tsp. water, for egg wash
  • lollipop sticks (available at most craft stores)
  • sugar, for sprinkling
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out pie crust dough and cut out as many hearts as you can, making sure you are left with an even number. Roll out scraps until you use up the dough.
  3. Spoon Jam Lab Strawberry Chocolate Jam into the center of half the hearts. Place a lollipop stick at the edge of each crust, pushing lightly without going through the dough. (If you don’t have lollipop sticks, skip this step and bake the hearts as mini hand pies.)
  4. Brush egg wash onto the edges of each, and top with the rest of the hearts. Press a fork along the edges of each tart to finish, and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle sugar on top of each pop, and place in the oven and bake around 25 minutes, or until golden.
