Pope Francis in NYC: Three Argentinian Restaurants to Impress the Pope

We’re sure that you HAVEN’T heard, because it’s top secret and no one is talking about it, but someone important is in town. With Pope Francis in NYC for the first time,  we want to make him feel right at home, so we figured we’d take the Holy Father on a tour of our favorite Argentinian restaurants.   Okay fine. He didn’t ask us to have dinner. But still, these three legit, no nonsense Argentinian places are where you can go to get into papal fever… or just stay away from the crowds.

El Gauchito
A truly authentic, cheap eats Argentinian restaurant and butcher in Queens. This place is fo’ real.

94-60 Corona Avenue, Elmhurst, NY 11373
718-271-8198

Cafe Argentino
This laid back Brooklyn establishment has all the classic Argentinian steaks plus some less traditional dishes that bring loyal customers back again and again.

499 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211
718-782-9477

El Almacen
A Williamsburg cozy date spot that specializes in Argentinian small plates paired with great South American wines. A more modern approach to Argentinian fare.
