The New Rizzoli Bookstore: The Perfect Place to Get Lost, and to Get Gifting

We are of the mind that there’s no such thing as too many coffee table books. A beautiful book is the perfect gift to give, receive, and duh, give to yourself. We like to stack ’em high on any surface we can find, to top that stack with a pretty objet or candy bowl, and voila! our coffee table is ready to party. On a rainy day, we throw on our Juicys and flip through those babies, which is one of our many definitions of “happy place.” So, we’re swooning over the new Rizzoli Bookstore in Nomad, with its dark rich mahogany bookcases and alfresco painted walls. The store is organized by subject, so you can head right to the section you need when you’re searching for the perfect present for, say, your car-obsessed uncle or your fashion-obsessed besty. We could’ve stayed for hours, flipping through pages and pages of photos of art, houses, flowers, food, and, let’s get real: shoes.

Beyond getting gifts for friends and yourself, the Rizzoli Bookstore is a great place to pop in for inspiration, cards and small gifts, and another of our favorite things, the smell of new books.

Shopping for us? Here’s what’s on our wishlist: Manolo Blahnik: Fleeting Gestures and Obsessions, Kate Moss, Pret-a-Party by Lela Rose.
