There are a lot of reasons that your china may need a Fall upgrade: Maybe you’re ready to bite the bullet on your first real set, maybe you’re a collector (or a hoarder), maybe you like to mix and match in the same colorwave (like Alex Papachristidis told us to!), or all different colors and patterns. Maybe you’re just a fiend for all things Oscar De La Renta, Vera Wang, and Jonathan Adler. Maybe Pope Francis is coming to dinner at your house, and you’re scrambling to set the table. Either way, there’s some new china on the block (the block being… the Internet… and New York City) that we thought you should be aware of.
Oscar De La Renta Coralina Fine China Collection
From bridal gowns to ballet flats, Oscar De La Renta can basically do no wrong. Why not incorporate some of that timeless elegance into our tablescapes? Right? The new Coralina Collection is bright and happy-feeling, and the peppy orange color is perfect year-round.
Jonathan Adler 1948º Dinner Set
The guy who brought back ceramics (or like… made them cool in the first place?) also has GREAT dinnerware. While we’ll forever be mourning that his Barbie collection is discontinued, he keeps #bringingit when it comes to dinner designs. This one’s our fave right now.
Wedgewood Anthemion Ruby Collection
The classic brand’s fine bone china combines rich ruby red and accents of gold that feel just a bit luscious and risqué. The deep red feels perfect for this time of year, and would definitely be a hit on any holiday table.
Vera Wang Wedgewood Chantilly Lace
Keeping it traditional but in a modern dove grey color, Vera’s Wedgewood Chantilly Lace collection is subtle without being overly sweet. We’d use it for everyday or for being fancy pants.
Kim Seybert Shakti Spearmint Fine China
Kim Seybert’s our go-to designer for funky, fun stuff. Beautifully beaded placemats, runners, embroidered napkins, and coasters, she’s sort of like the one-stop-shop for table decor. This season she’s released a new collection of her Shakti fine china pattern that has us green with envy… of anyone who has it.
