Adult Summer Camp
Ugh! Is it us or is being an adult sometimes so boring? Jobs and responsibilities and consequences to our decisions… it’s like… we didn’t sign up for this. When we feel like this, we get whiney and all, “I wish I could go to summer camp again” – really live that “School’s out for Summer” mentality.
While most of us don’t have the luxury to go back in time for a couple of months (we’re looking at you, MBA students), we can make Saturday feel a little more like day camp and a little less like real life. While they won’t make your responsibilities disappear, these games, combined with friendship and perhaps a cocktail, are sure to bring back that carefree summertime feeling. Here’s what we’ll be playing this weekend:
Bigger is better, guys. Take all that stress you have, and focus it on your next move. Don’t mess this up.
You are not too cool for school. Or non-school, rather.
If your friends aren’t as funny as Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller, don’t worry, it will still be hilarious to deck ’em with a water balloon. Promise.
If it’s good enough for Pippa, it’s good enough for us. Pimm’s cup and croquet, anyone?
A Southern classic that requires a surprising amount of skill, we get pretty competitive about this one.
Sort of classy, maybe? Also kind of hard. But this one, perhaps more than the others, can be called “weightlifting”?
