Book Report: Food, Shoes, and Booze, Oh My!
Is there anything better than an afternoon at Bergdorfs? We’re pretty sure that there isn’t. Yes, there are trendier places, places that make you look cooler to know about, but BG’s is an NYC landmark, and for good reason.
But those reasons aren’t simply sartorial. There’s also the food. The food that has brought us out of exhausted, post-shopping stupors, or has accompanied us as we eat pre-shopping, anticipating the wonders we might find on Bergdorf’s many treasure-filled floors. The food itself is a celebration.
So, how were we when we found out about The Bergdorf Goodman Cookbook? In a word: psyched. No longer do we have to trek to the 7th floor or to the beauty level to have our favorite gotham salad or velvety green pea soup; no longer do we need a shopping mission to indulge in a lychee martini or a Goodman. Also: sticky toffee pudding. Done.
Here, our menu for a Springtime lunch with some pals, which we imagine will be a little easier on your wallet than heading to BG’s itself. You can save that money for the second floor.
