These sliders are an amped-up version of a bacon cheeseburger. They’re spicy and melty and salty and full of bacon-ey love. We serve them as heavy apps, or serve a couple as an entree.
Gruyere-Avocado Sliders with Red Chile Bacon Jam

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 small block of gruyere cheese or another easy to melt cheese like cheddar or mozzarella
- 4 Tbsp. mayonaise
- 1 Tbsp. sauce from canned chipotle chile peppers
- 1 fresh avocado
- 2 Tbsp. The Bacon Jams Red Chile & Garlic Spreadable Bcon
- lettuce, tomato, and any other toppings for your sliders
- 8 Slider Buns
- large pinch of salt and pepper
Let's go
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef with salt and pepper.
- Cut cheese into 1-inch cubes.
- Form small burgers, cut the gruyere cheese into thin slices and cut the avocado into thin slices.
- In a small bowl, mix mayo with the chipotle chile pepper sauce.
- Heat up a grill or saute pan, and then cook each burger approximately 3 minutes per side, for medium rare.
- Meanwhile, heat up the buns on the grill or in the oven.
- Top the sliders with the bacon jams, avocado, mayo and serve immediately.
