Gruyere-Avocado Sliders with Red Chile Bacon Jam

These sliders are an amped-up version of a bacon cheeseburger. They’re spicy and melty and salty and full of bacon-ey love. We serve them as heavy apps, or serve a couple as an entree.

  • 1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 small block of gruyere cheese or another easy to melt cheese like cheddar or mozzarella
  • 4 Tbsp. mayonaise
  • 1 Tbsp. sauce from canned chipotle chile peppers
  • 1 fresh avocado
  • 2 Tbsp. The Bacon Jams Red Chile & Garlic Spreadable Bcon
  • lettuce, tomato, and any other toppings for your sliders
  • 8 Slider Buns
  • large pinch of salt and pepper
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut cheese into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Form small burgers, cut the gruyere cheese into thin slices and cut the avocado into thin slices.
  4. In a small bowl, mix mayo with the chipotle chile pepper sauce.
  5. Heat up a grill or saute pan, and then cook each burger approximately 3 minutes per side, for medium rare.
  6. Meanwhile, heat up the buns on the grill or in the oven.
  7. Top the sliders with the bacon jams, avocado, mayo and serve immediately.
