This is a decadent, totally unique cozy cocktail. It’s kind of like bulletproof coffee, but with booze, and orange flavors that will warm up any evening in. So… it’s not like bulletproof coffee… but we like it.
Cozy Cocktail: Solerno Hot Buttered Sun

Ingredients
- 1 part Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur
- 1 part spiced butter batter (recipe below)
- 4 parts boiling water
- Butter Batter:
- 1 stick room temperature butter
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- ½ tsp. ground cardamom
- Garnish: Cinnamon stick and orange peel
Let's go
1. Make the butter batter: Mix ingredients and roll into a 2-inch wide log with plastic wrap, refrigerate to harden, approximately 30 minutes. Once ready to make cocktails and slice off 1/2-inch thick pats for each cocktail.
2. Combine Solerno, boiling water and spiced butter batter in mug and stir. Garnish with cinnamon stick and orange peel.
