Under the Radar: La Maison Supreme

We were just taking a stroll down Hudson, looking for a place to rest our weary legs, debating whether or not it was martini o’clock, when, there it was: a store with so many dazzling things in the window, we might’ve squealed.

“What the?” Lizzie said. “I’m going in,” Katie said, and didn’t wait for an answer.

What had we found? La Maison Supreme: a store that collects and curates its selection of European china, tabletop décor, lighting, and furniture. The goods? Everything from chandeliers to table linens that are old school and eclectic in feel – vintage crystal decanters and purple and black high balls on chic antique bar carts, a large selection of the owner’s favorite French Haviland Limoges china, table linens, guest soaps, and inviting love seats topped with lush pillows. We felt so fancy we couldn’t resist imagining we were at Downton. Or Versailles. Or, you get it – somewhere old and really cool.

Not only did La Maison Supreme provide us with a feast for the eyes, it also provided us a new resource – for that host who has and has seen everything, an oasis where the items are as rare as they are pretty.
