Easy Like Sunday Morning: The Best Breakfast Bites Around NYC

The weekend is only complete when Sunday rolls around and my little family beats the morning rush to one of my favorite spots for a decadent breakfast bite. Hit up one of these places for a perfectly balanced cheesy egg sandwich on the go, a box of fluffy, amped up donuts or piled high NYC bagels, because you’ve been working that bootie all week at the gym for a reason.

Danny Meyer’s cafe and bakery, around the corner from Union Square Cafe, is one of my favorite spots for a gourmet, unfussy, and ridiciulously delicious egg sandwich on the go. perfectly baked brioche buns, fluffy soft eggs with tons of add-on’s are the things Sunday morning dreams are made of.

Black Seed Bagels
Multiple Locations: Nolita, Battery Park City, and East Village

Artisanal bagels that you will fall in love with, baked daily in their wood fired ovens make Black Seed Bagels one of the best places to get your carb on. The long menu of sandwiches are wildly popular and their spreads are perfect for picking up to take home for a crowd.

A taco counter that has been on many lists for me (and just about every hungry eater I know), has a secret, off menu breakfast taco that is worth the wait. Served on their fluffy flour taco, decked out in all their secret sauces, this no frills breakfast bite is a must for the Mexican lovers.

Everyone knows The Major Food Group (Carbon, The Grill, Parm) does dining right, did you know they know how to make one mean breakfast Sandwich? Sadelle’s cafe and counter offers New York staples like bagels and lox but also had a great egg menu and sweet pastries.

Anything and everything eggs is the name of the game at this cute cafe with locations in the East Village and Williamsburg. With a menu full of every kind of egg sandwich you’d want plus other relish egg dishes, all executed to runny, yolk-y perfection.
