Restaurant Rolodex: The New New Hitting NYC

New restaurants are New Yorkers’ bread and butter. They like to go to them, they like to talk about them, they like to judge them, but mostly, it’s important to know about them. Knowing new restaurants in this city is a currency in itself. When that friend you’ve been meaning to get together with for months says, “Where should we go?” you want your answer to show that you’re, like, up on things. I mean. Maybe. Who knows? Maybe you just like new restaurants. Here are some we’re excited about that have recently opened or are coming soon.

Open Now

Banter
Are the Aussies taking over NYC? Maybe. The owners of Banter met at Aussie café Two Hands, and have now opened Banter. Expect salads, sandwiches, and sweet potato smash.

Malcriada
Well, we know this: We’re into the name (It means “poor-mannered”). So we have to assume we’ll like this new Latin spot on Avenue C.
