#FAT is Gonna Go Ahead and Netflix and Chill

Winter Storm Jonas gave us a taste of the good life. By the good life, we mean sitting on our couch, binge-eating, and binge watching. Now that it’s officially #LesMis out, we think it’s time to just admit it: this coming weekend, we’re going to Netflix and Chill. We’re going to have some friends over, for sure, but we may indulge in a distinctly New York possibility: Delivery and Netflix and Chill.

Here are some things we’ll be binge-watching this weekend, and what we’ll be binging on while watching.

What to Watch: Making a Murderer

If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t watched this, you’d better get on your couch, and bunker down for hours of super dramatic documentary. Given that all the drama goes down in Wisconsin, we think it should be watched with, what else, but some beer and cheeeeeese.

Pair It WithMurray’s Cheese Bar or Melt Shop

What to Watch: Chelsea Does

Chelsea Handler’s Netflix documentary series called Chelsea Does premiered last Friday, and we’re pretty psyched to have our fave funny lady back, taking on sliggggghtly more serious topics than Justin Bieber’s love life.

Pair It With: Belvedere, Chelsea’s Vodka of Choice. Maybe with some pomegranate seeds? Those are her fave, too.

What to Watch: Master of None

Aziz Ansari’s new show does not disappoint and is exactly what you’d expect from one of our favorite comedians, writers, and famous foodie.

Pair It With: His favorite food, tacos, from two of our fave spots, Ottos or  Taqueria Diana.

What to Watch: Luther

This critically acclaimed BBS crime drama, set in London, staring one of our favorite British actors,  Idris Elba, just ended after 5 seasons and has recently been added to Netflix, which means it’s perfect for binge-watching.

Pair It With: Some of London’s best cuisine, Indian. Try one of our favorites: Pippali or Tamarind

What to Watch: Beasts of No Nation

Idris Elba again, which we are pretty psyched about. The British actor stars in this newly released Netflix original movie about an African mercenary army and the children who become soldiers.

Pair It With: Step outside your delivery box and get down with some Senegalese cuisine from Ponty Bistro, one of NYC’s best African-fusion downtown restaurants.

What to WatchCartel Nation

We can’t help it: El Chapo, Narcos, we’re fascinated by documentaries and shows about Mexico’s drug cartels. This new documentary follows two vigilante groups that have formed in Mexico.

Pair It With: Another reason to continue to eat Mexican, we’ll be getting Fonda or El Toro Blanco.
