New Year, New Spot: The Roxy Hotel
What is it about hotels? They make us feel like we’re on an adventure, even when we’re in the midst of our own city. Isn’t that sometimes just what we need? Not to mention that we’re always looking for a fun, new spot to grab a drink with friends. But not just any old spot: We want our bars to have personality, make rocking cocktails, and be pretty to look at (like our men? Hee Hee…)
The revamped Tribeca Grand, which has been transformed into The Roxy Hotel, offers two such bars: one, a sexy, glossy, hotel bar with huge windows called the Roxy Bar, and Django, a jazz club inspired by Parisian clubs of the like, both of which will be serving up musical performances multiple times a week. These join the hotel in addition to the already-standing cult fave Paul’s Cocktail Lounge, a brainchild of Paul Sevigny, where the waiters wear designs by his oh-so-cool sister Chloe. Other fun stuff at The Roxy? The Roxy Hotel Cinema will feature quirky, indie movies, and Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee will be slinging caffeine.
